Halls of Torment: Prelude

Choose one of three heroes and descend into the Halls of Torment, where you face waves of monsters across two underground stages. Each run builds toward a confrontation with a tormented Lord.

Move through enemy crowds, collect experience and treasure, and select abilities and character upgrades as the threat grows. Bosses bring distinct attacks and mechanics that call for attention to positioning and survival.

Traits, blessings, items, and quests add progression across runs. Complete quests and retrieve items to unlock options and strengthen or customize future attempts.

Players often praise the blend of dark, retro fantasy presentation and horde-survival combat, along with the satisfaction of developing different builds and making progress across runs. Some enjoy the challenge and boss fights, while others find the loop repetitive, the upgrades unexciting, or the Prelude's available content limited.
