Suria wakes in a laboratory after 1,000 years in cryosleep and sets out to find the rest of humanity. She remotely operates Labor androids to investigate the world beyond her room, with giant Arms mechs available to pilot.
Explore areas, battle waves of enemies, and take on tougher mech opponents and bosses. You can fight as a Labor on foot or in an Arms, changing your approach with different weapons and equipment.
Runs feed into longer-term customization and growth. Collect app disks to strengthen a unit during a run, and analyze their data to make them available for future builds; recover and analyze mech-part blueprints to expand your options. Parts found on defeated enemies can also be used to adapt your mech during a run.
Players who enjoy Metal Bringer often praise experimenting with mech parts and app upgrades, then feeling a build grow from fragile to powerful enough to sweep through enemy hordes. Reviews also call out the action, the distinctive retro presentation, and the story. Criticisms include limited visibility from the camera, tedious app-loadout changes, uneven difficulty, and crashes or performance problems reported by some players.
