Pinball FX Midnight is a digital pinball platform centered on horror and other mature themes. Players launch a ball and use flippers to keep it in play, with Wrath of the Elder Gods: Director’s Cut included as a table.
Tables combine standard pinball play—hitting targets, ramps and lanes to build scores—with themed objectives, missions and animated effects. Additional tables, including Chucky, Dead by Daylight and The Thing, are offered as purchasable DLC.
Campaign challenges, daily challenges and tournaments provide different ways to play and pursue scores. Completing challenges can unlock decorations for table display rooms and other cosmetic options, while customization includes items such as balls, flippers and trails.
Positive reviewers often enjoy the horror-themed tables and their distinctive visuals, sounds and effects, along with the familiar pinball scoring loop. Some also value the challenges and cosmetic unlocks that give them goals beyond a single game. Opinions differ on the physics and overall execution, and many reviews raise concerns about the limited included table selection and the cost of additional tables.
