You begin as an unknown martial artist drawn into Jianghu conflicts, meeting sects and characters across a series of maps. Dialogue and quests drive the story, with choices and several possible endings.
Combat takes place in side-scrolling arenas, where you use weapons, martial styles, and skills to attack, evade, and string together combos. Progress by learning techniques, improving attributes, and combining weapons with martial arts skills to shape your fighting style.
Beyond battles, explore and take on activities such as bounty hunting, escort missions, tournaments, and sect conflicts. Other systems include crafting, fishing, raising disciples, building relationships, and starting a family.
Players who enjoy the game often point to its side-scrolling martial-arts combat, weapon variety, and wuxia setting, with some also liking the story and the choices available in parts of the adventure. These positives are not consistent across the reviews: other players describe the combat as repetitive, the story as incomplete or too constrained, and the English translation as difficult to follow.
