The Abyss opens once every hundred years, bringing a curse that consumes the land. With the king missing and the kingdom under threat, you lead a band of adventurers into dangerous labyrinths.
Explore dungeons from a first-person view, uncover routes, and contend with traps and monsters. Turn-based battles reward careful choices about party roles, skills, equipment, and when to defend or press an attack.
Recruit allies with different races and classes, then develop your party through leveling, class progression, and equipment upgrades. The game also includes character summons and a demanding journey where losses and resource management are part of the expedition.

Wizardry is a computer role-playing game released in the United States in 1981 with elements such as party organizing, labyrinth exploration, monster fighting, and character development having such a tremendous impact on the various RPGs that followed, that it is often referred to as the origin of RPGs.
