In postwar Norway, you adopt Karin or Klaus, a child whose German heritage makes them a target of hostility. As their parent, you offer care and guidance while they face discrimination and bullying at school and in the community.
Each day, limited time and money force you to balance work with your child’s needs. You can prepare food, wash and mend clothes, buy necessities, and spend time playing, reading, or talking together.
Conversations let you respond to your child’s questions and painful experiences, while daily choices shape how you support them. The story also invites you to uncover more about the child’s past and their biological parents.

My Child Lebensborn has been developed in collaboration with the Norwegian Lebensborn children from World War II and has led to the foundation of The Children Born of War Project, working to protect children of enemy soldiers the world over. Parts of the proceeds of the game are donated to this cause.
