Divinity: Dragon Commander

You take the role of the Dragon Commander, seeking to reunite a divided empire. Between campaigns, you meet advisors and other characters aboard your flying command ship and make political and personal choices.

On a turn-based map, you expand into provinces, build structures, recruit forces, and research upgrades. Decisions made aboard the ship can affect faction support and the resources or military options available to you.

When armies clash, you can take command in real-time battles or let the fight resolve automatically. In battles you direct units and can transform into a dragon to support your troops. The game also offers multiplayer and co-op modes.

Players who enjoy the game often single out its humorous writing, lively character interactions, and political choices, along with the way those choices connect to the campaign. The turn-based conquest map and the unusual mix of strategy, role-playing, and dragon combat also appeal to some.
