You play as a teenager left home alone who tries to summon a spirit called the Jester. The ritual succeeds, and the Jester traps you in the basement.
Search the house and its surroundings for objects, solve puzzles, and find a way to escape or undo the summoning. Avoid the Jester by hiding, running, and using sounds to draw him away.
You have five in-game hours to escape before midnight. The game includes different difficulty settings, with the same search-and-escape challenge shaped by the Jester's pursuit.
