Dash through long, side-scrolling stages filled with enemies, hazards, alternate routes, and hidden treasures. Fight enemies with character-specific attacks and take on bosses whose patterns must be learned.

Collect crystals and other stage finds, use elemental shields for their different benefits, and explore at your own pace or aim for faster runs. Adventure mode includes voiced story scenes, while Classic mode removes dialogue; difficulty options and time-focused play add other ways to approach the stages.
