In 1933, just before Prohibition officially ends, private detective Jack Orlando becomes the prime suspect in a murder. He has 48 hours to find the real culprit and prove his innocence.
This point-and-click adventure has you explore hand-drawn locations, search for clues and useful objects, talk with underworld characters, and solve puzzles. Dialogue choices can affect events, and some situations are dangerous.
The story unfolds across four episodes and more than 200 scenes. The Director’s Cut adds six scenes and offers Easy and Normal difficulty modes.
Players often praise the game’s smoky noir atmosphere, hand-drawn scenes, jazz soundtrack, and murder-mystery premise, with some also enjoying its nostalgic feel and character dialogue. The puzzles are a frequent point of division: some find them challenging and rewarding, while others describe their logic and item searches as opaque enough to require a guide. Reviews also mention navigation and voice acting as uneven.
