Somewhere in deep space, at an apparently abandoned mining base on the asteriod Alpha Prime, something has gone terribly wrong. Miners were warned that the hubbardium they were mining was too dangerous, but the lure of unimaginable wealth was too strong.

You are sent to an apparently abandoned mining base on the asteroid Alpha Prime to find and rescue its miners. The workers were extracting hubbardium, a dangerous substance linked to their violent and erratic behavior, and an unknown threat now stands between you and getting them out.
Fight through a 10-level campaign set across locations including the mining station, a spaceship hangar, magnetic railways, and the asteroid surface. Use futuristic weapons against deranged miners, soldiers, and robots, with non-player characters assisting along the way. Vehicles help you travel between some locations.
Alongside combat, use devices to hack cameras, robots, doors, and security systems, and use bullet time to temporarily slow the action. The campaign follows a linear path, with these tools adding ways to scout or affect encounters as you progress.
The supplied reviews are divided. Some players enjoy Alpha Prime as a nostalgic, rough-edged sci-fi shooter, pointing to its mining-station setting, campy dialogue, music, and challenging firefights. Others find the combat frustrating, especially because enemies are described as highly accurate and ammunition can feel scarce; weak voice acting and clunky or dated mechanics also recur as complaints.
