Swords & Crystals Online

From the Devs

A Living Old-School MMO Adventure

Swords & Crystals is a 2D top-down MMORPG developed by a solo developer and it is inspired by Old School RuneScape, Classic World of Warcraft, and Zelda combining nostalgic MMO progression with fast, skill-based real-time combat.

Explore a seamless open world, grow your character through meaningful progression, and take on bosses, quests, and players in a constantly evolving online world.

• The game is currently in Beta Phase 1, with over 6 years of active development and 7,500+ hours of work poured into it, built entirely out of passion.

Inspired by old-school MMORPGs, Swords & Crystals focuses on clarity, depth, and meaningful systems over modern complexity. Face challenging bosses designed around timing, awareness, and preparation. Take on quests that guide your journey through the world, defeat powerful enemies, and uncover rare rewards as you progress through a constantly evolving adventure.

Every action contributes to your growth: from combat and quests to gathering and crafting. Progression is steady, grounded, and rewarding, where skills, gear, and effort directly shape your power over time.

Interact with a living player-driven world where cooperation and competition exist side by side. Trade items, form groups, tackle challenges together, or compete for resources and recognition in shared spaces shaped by other players.

Step into a seamless open world with no loading screens, where every region feels connected and alive. Discover hidden paths, solve environmental puzzles, and uncover secrets scattered across forests, ruins, caves, and forgotten places.
