“Ori and the Blind Forest” tells the tale of a young orphan destined for heroics, through a visually stunning action-platformer crafted by Moon Studios for PC.
Developed by Moon Studios GmbH · Published by Xbox Game Studios

Ori, a young spirit orphan, sets out to restore life to the forest of Nibel after a storm brings disaster to its home. The journey unfolds as a fantasy adventure told through animation, music, and story scenes.
Move through a connected 2D world by jumping, climbing, solving environmental puzzles, and facing enemies. Platforming and movement are central, with combat playing a supporting role and escape sequences demanding quick reactions.
New abilities expand Ori’s movement and open routes that were previously inaccessible, encouraging players to revisit parts of the forest. Collectible upgrades support progression, while the Soul Link system lets players spend energy to create save points.
Players often praise the expressive visuals and soundtrack, describing how they strengthen the forest’s atmosphere and emotional story. Many also enjoy the responsive platforming, the satisfaction of mastering difficult sections, and movement abilities that open new routes. Criticism in this sample frequently concerns the original edition’s missing features compared with the Definitive Edition, along with challenging sections and limitations on returning to completed areas or continuing a finished save.
