You play as Marty, an ordinary high-school student who gains magical powers and draws the attention of villain Commander Hood. The episodic adventure takes inspiration from 1980s cartoons and pop culture.
Explore each episode’s setting, meet characters, take on side quests, and fight enemies. Marty channels attacks through everyday objects, turning them into strange weapons and abilities.
Combat is turn-based, with timed inputs for attacks and defenses. Scratch-and-sniff stickers grant buffs, while stats and items carry between episodes; small choices can also affect later episodes. Episodes can be played in any order, and an endless mode challenges you to survive successive enemy waves.
Players who enjoy the game often point to its pop-culture humor and nostalgia, along with its story and varied settings. Some also find the active turn-based battles fun or increasingly involved, while others describe the combat as simple or criticize its timing prompts and difficulty.
