Plus Ultra: Legado

From the Devs

Explore the New World

Traverse the beautiful, immense lands of Mesoamerica! This interconnected world blends real-world, historical locations. A love letter to our rich legacy.

Wield your halberd!

You've seen lots of laser guns and swords. Even whips! But... Halberds? Man, that's such a cool and underrated weapon for video games! Ideal for pogos!

A Comicvania!

Comic art style blends into gameplay with a well integrated interface. The player is always in control in this comic book!

Our influences

We got several influences from games we love, such as:

• Half-Life 2 - Open storytelling, so the player is always playing!

• Super Metroid - Great atmosphere in an interconnected world!

• Hollow Knight - Aerial combat through pogo-system!

• Europa Universalis - Attention to detail when dealing with History!

• Comix Zone - A diegetic use of comic art style in order to bring a unique experience.

Commitment to historical fidelity

Even though Plus Ultra: Legado is a fictional story with some supernatural events, we have made a strong research to accurately represent each civilization, character, and historical event. In fact, it has been translated into Nahuatl.

Colorfulness

Most Metroidvanias are very dark. Which is great! But Plus Ultra: Legado wants to offer something different, something fresh.

Open storytelling

Many sidescrolling video games force you to stop playing when a textbox appears. This is not the case of Plus Ultra: Legado. Move freely and even abandon story events if desired!

Find gold and buy upgrades

There are pieces of gold hidden all over this interconnected world. Traverse the land, explore each corner, and enhance your weapons.
