Detective Grimoire is called to a remote swamp attraction after its owner is found dead. The local mythical creature, Boggy, is blamed, but Grimoire investigates the park’s visitors and staff to determine what happened.
Explore locations in a point-and-click format, inspect objects for clues, and question suspects to gather information. Evidence and conversations can reveal contradictions and open up further dialogue.
Clues are recorded in a case file as you work through small puzzles and assemble thoughts from sentence fragments and images to reach conclusions. You can solve the case without finding every clue.
Players often enjoy the colorful characters, humorous dialogue, voice acting, and animated presentation, which give the swamp murder mystery much of its appeal. Reviews also describe the investigation as approachable and satisfying to follow, though some found the deductions and puzzles very easy, the culprit easy to guess, or the overall game too short.
