You play as a car that changes form and abilities from level to level. Rather than sticking to ordinary racing, the game sends you through short courses where reaching the finish may involve running on legs, jumping, flying, or handling other unusual twists.
Levels mix racing and platforming with brief challenges and comic diversions. Between courses, explore themed islands, look for hidden items, meet characters, and take on small activities such as fishing or delivering packages.
Complete stages to progress through the game, then revisit them to improve your times and earn performance rewards. Optional challenges, collectibles, player-made levels, and a level editor provide more ways to play and create courses.
Players who enjoy the game often highlight its absurd car transformations, playful humor, and levels that introduce new twists. Some also like exploring the hubs, hunting for secrets, and trying or making community levels. Opinions are mixed: other reviewers find the ideas repetitive or the tighter time challenges frustrating.
