You play as a mother lynx raising a litter of cubs in a vast wilderness. Your survival matters too: keeping yourself safe helps ensure your young can grow.
Explore the terrain to find prey, then hunt and bring food back to your cubs. You can sniff out prey, call your cubs closer, and carry them away from danger; movement, jumps, and stamina shape how you travel and hunt.
The world changes with the seasons and weather, offering different landscapes to explore and threats to watch for. As your cubs are fed and grow, they become more independent, carrying the family through its next stage.

Shelter 2 features more elaborate gameplay features than its predecessor and includes gameplay features such as stamina, movements, jumps and a variety of prey to hunt. Besides hunting skills, there are also maternal features such as calling the cubs closer, sniffing out prey, drinking water from rivers and lifting and carrying your cubs from harm’s way.
A vast wilderness awaits
The environments in Shelter 2 are significantly much larger than those in its predecessor, offering more freedom than ever before and allowing you to find favourite spots in which to return. In the game world, weather and seasons change - harsh winters and blooming summers await you. The music is created by Retro Family, awarded for their work on the Pid Soundtrack, and the visuals have been reinvented by adding dense atmosphere and lighting to the patterned graphical art style.
