You enter Liberty Grand Center, a sprawling building in a zombie outbreak, to search for supplies and make it out alive. Its floors have different themes, including a hospital, mall, and casino.
During a run, you explore and loot while fighting zombies. Toxic gas gradually makes selected floors unsafe, pushing you to move between levels by elevator or stairwell and find an extraction point. The original format also included encounters with rival survivors; later reviews describe a shift toward solo and co-op PvE.
Choose a class with its own equipment and abilities, then use recovered materials to craft or improve gear and trade for equipment. Missions and merchant reputation provide further progression, while dying costs you the loot collected on the run, apart from items kept in a safe container.
Players who enjoy the game often praise the tense scavenging-and-extraction loop, the atmosphere of its themed, multi-floor building, and the threat posed by zombies. Some also value class progression and playing co-op; several later reviews welcome a PvE-focused shift for letting them explore and fight without the pressure of PvP. Other reviews report low player counts, slow or awkward combat, punishing enemies, and problems with usability, bugs, or account enforcement.

Escape successfully and you can use the materials you find to craft items or buy and sell more powerful equipment. Die, however, and you will lose everything you collected.

Zombies are not the only threat lurking inside. As time passes, toxic gas spreads through randomly selected floors, forcing you to move between levels using elevators and stairwells.

Every zombie in this place is deadly.
Even the Walker, the weakest of them all, can become a serious threat when it surrounds you with the horde. Beyond the relentless Runners that pursue survivors without mercy, even deadlier mutations await.
But no matter what you encounter, the greatest threat will always be the other survivors. Fight alone or alongside your teammates, defeat your rivals, and claim even more loot.
