Valor Mortis

You play as William, a soldier of Napoleon’s Grande Armée who awakens after death in an alternate-history Europe gripped by a mysterious plague. As the corruption spreads, he investigates the plague and the circumstances of his resurrection.

Combat combines first-person swordplay with firearms and supernatural abilities. Read enemy attacks, manage stamina, and use parries or dodges to create openings; breaking an enemy’s posture can leave it vulnerable to a finishing attack. You can upgrade weapons and abilities as you progress.

Explore connected, layered areas for secrets, supplies, and shortcuts, using movement skills such as wall-running and a grappling hook to reach new routes. Checkpoints anchor your progress, while dying risks losing the Catalysts you have collected.
