After a series of disasters leaves you on an unknown shore, you take the role of a Viking leader trying to unite the remnants of your clan and establish a new home. The game is played from a first-person perspective as you explore the surrounding land and work toward becoming a Jarl.
Survival and settlement building drive the day-to-day play. Gather resources, craft tools and supplies, hunt, farm, construct buildings, and set out on expeditions. Quests and random events add further goals as you contend with the natural challenges of the new land.
You also oversee the clan’s needs, laws, work, and living conditions. Develop useful skills along paths such as hunting, farming, building, or priesthood, and choose whether to focus on the main story, side quests, exploration, or settlement development.
