In an alternate-history Uralian town consumed by conflict, you play a marauder trying to survive and build a stable life. You start with a double-barreled shotgun and little ammunition, then work to gather companions and equip them.
Explore the town and nearby forests, ruins, military bases, and underground bunkers. Search for useful gear, barter goods, and survival supplies to prepare your group for what lies ahead.
Develop squad members through RPG progression and customize weapons as you adapt to different encounters. Combat unfolds in real time with tactical pauses, across situations such as nighttime fights, indoor and outdoor battles, and assaults on fortified buildings.
Players who enjoy Marauder often point to its tactical combat, atmospheric setting, story, and squad-development systems. Some also value its distinctive, old-school feel and return to it for repeat playthroughs. Others find the controls and camera difficult to manage, report crashes and other bugs, or feel the campaign is too short.
