You take the role of a naval captain, choosing from ships inspired by several nations and eras for team battles. The game offers both PvP and PvE modes, including battles against AI.
Ships fall into four broad roles: destroyers use speed and stealth, battleships bring armor and firepower, cruisers offer versatility, and aircraft carriers direct air squadrons. Positioning, spotting, range, and coordination shape engagements.
Progress through ship lines to unlock vessels and upgrades, and develop commanders with distinct skill trees to tailor builds. Missions, campaigns, War Tales, and research projects provide additional goals and routes to unlock content.
