Set in the fantasy world of Tyria, Guild Wars Reforged follows a hero through three campaigns: Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall. Their stories span regions such as Ascalon, Kaineng City, and the Desolation.
Players take on quests, story missions, and dungeons, then fight in instanced areas with a party of other players, NPC henchmen, or customizable heroes. Combat rewards planning party roles and choosing when and how to use abilities.
Characters combine a primary and secondary profession and bring a limited bar of eight skills selected from a much larger pool; some skills can be captured from enemies. Campaign progress, further skills, equipment, titles, hard-mode challenges, and PvP offer different paths to develop and test a build.
