In ninth-century Baghdad, you play Basim, a young thief whose path leads him to the Hidden Ones. His story follows his transformation into an Assassin as he confronts a secretive organization.
Investigate targets by gathering clues, then choose how to reach and eliminate them. Move through Baghdad by parkour, use stealth and crowds to avoid detection, pickpocket, and deploy tools such as smoke bombs and throwing knives. Contracts offer additional missions with varied objectives.
Build Basim through a compact skill tree and upgrade his tools at the Assassins’ bureaus. Public crimes can raise his notoriety, bringing more attention from guards; token-funded services can help with distractions or access. The Valley of Memory update adds a story chapter and the AlUla region.
