Herdling

You take the role of a lone herder leading a growing herd of Calicorns on a journey from the city toward the mountains. The story unfolds without dialogue, through the changing landscapes and events along the way.

Guide the herd by influencing its direction and pace as you move behind it. Cross varied terrain, clear obstacles, handle light environmental puzzles, and respond to hazards that call for careful movement or a full-speed stampede.

As Calicorns join the herd, you can name and care for them, including petting, cleaning, healing, and decorating them. New routes introduce different challenges, while the journey’s wordless presentation leaves much of its meaning to the player.

In the supplied reviews, players often praise the Calicorns’ charm and the attachment that grows through caring for them, alongside the scenery, soundtrack, and quiet, atmospheric journey. Some enjoy the simple, relaxing pace and wordless storytelling; others find the mechanics repetitive or the story too slight, and many mention the short runtime.
