We Love It's Guide to…

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era

In this fantasy strategy game and series prequel, you lead one of six factions through a world facing impending doom. Recruit heroes to command armies, develop towns, and pursue the campaign or play on generated and handcrafted maps. Explore the map with limited movement each turn, gathering resources, capturing towns and landmarks, and challenging guarded sites for rewards. Build structures to recruit and upgrade creatures, while heroes gain experience and collect artifacts that strengthen their armies. Battles are turn-based and tactical: position units, use their abilities, and cast spells from different schools of magic. Heroes bring their own skills and spells, while Focus earned through damage can be spent on powerful unit abilities. The game also offers multiple solo and multiplayer modes.

Lead a fantasy faction across turn-based maps, build towns and armies, then use heroes, spells, and unit skills in tactical battles.
