You play as an underworld envoy sent to restore order after longer mortal lifespans disrupt reincarnation and Zhong Kui goes missing. The mission takes you into chaotic realms filled with Yaoguai and other monsters.
Fight through growing enemy waves, move across battle maps, take on local incidents, visit shops, and face bosses. Between fights, choose rewards and improve your skills and equipment to keep pace with each run.
Choose from different envoys, combine skills with stones that alter their effects, and use underworld currency to buy upgrades. Between runs, unlock characters and features, and arrange paper charms in a limited backpack, with elemental properties shaping your setup.
