You play a new recruit sent to investigate a mine near a remote mountain town after its workers and townspeople disappear. The search leads into underground areas filled with monsters, where you uncover what happened and work to restore peace.

Explore six areas made from hand-designed rooms assembled into a different map for each save. Fight enemies and bosses, platform through hazards, and search for secrets and equipment as you make your way through the dungeons.

New abilities open paths that were previously unreachable, encouraging you to revisit earlier areas. Customize your character with weapons, armor, and spells; rescued townspeople return to the town, while Arcade Mode offers daily and weekly challenges.
