Set in a hallucinatory 1970s Las Vegas, Jackal follows a hitman taking on the city’s mob. A supernatural associate accompanies him as the story moves through crime-filled locations and blurs the line between reality and hallucination.
Play from a top-down perspective, fighting with firearms and melee weapons. Slide into close combat, kick enemies, and turn nearby objects into attacks; finishers add another way to dispatch foes. The game emphasizes direct assaults rather than stealth.
Levels use randomized layouts, and deaths can bring another attempt with a changed setup. The campaign offers selectable difficulty, unlockable powers and gameplay modifiers, with speedrun levels providing another way to replay.
Players who enjoy Jackal often praise its vivid visual style, soundtrack, voice acting, and surreal exchanges between the hitman and his companion. Many also find the fast, violent combat satisfying, especially when sliding, using the environment, and chaining attacks. Randomized layouts, powers, modifiers, and difficulty options appeal to players looking for reasons to replay, though the sample also includes substantial criticism of the combat feel and campaign length.

Become a coked-up John Wick who can turn Vegas into a stage for improvised carnage.
Faster than thought. Stronger than any wiseguy with a gun. Reloading just slows you down.
