Boid is real-time strategy at its most primal - your only resource is your army. No funds to manage or infrastructures to build. It’s a kill or be killed battle of rapid decisions to dominate the gene pool.

On the distant planet Kepler 42-C, a crashed drone changes the course of life and sparks a fight for control. You direct a swarm of microorganisms competing to claim the planet.
Claim vital positions to replicate and mutate into seven specialized unit types, from fast Scouts to explosive Kamikazes and life-draining Leaches. Use their different strengths to press opponents, outflank ambushes, and take bases.
There are no funds to manage or bases to build: battles focus on positioning and a rock-paper-scissors class system. Play a single-player campaign, skirmishes against bots, or 1v1 matches; the level editor also lets you create and share multiplayer maps.
Some reviewers describe Boid as fun and appreciate its distinctive, thoughtful strategy, while one specifically recalls enjoying custom community-made levels. Others criticize its pacing or find it generic. Several reviews lament that server problems left online or private matches unavailable to them.
