| AI disclosure | The original graphics were upscaled using a combination of traditional non-AI image scaling and Real-ESRGAN-based tools. Some were manually repainted afterward. For selected graphics, including character faces, OpenAI image-generation tools were used to reconstruct higher-resolution detail based on the original low-resolution artwork. The same tools were also used to extend some backgrounds for widescreen.I reworked the results by hand to make them fit the original artwork.Development of this remaster began in 2009; Codex has been used as a coding assistant since version 1.1. |
