Salt is an open world exploration game where you sail from island to island looking for loot and new discoveries! Relax and explore at your own pace, picking a direction and setting sail across a vast ocean filled with quests, merchants, ruins, pirates, and other mysterious places.

You begin on an island with basic resources, craft a raft, then choose where to sail across a procedurally generated ocean of islands. The open-ended format lets you set your own pace and direction.
Explore ruins and other locations, meet merchants, pirates, and cultists, take on main and side quests, and search for loot. You can chart discovered islands on your map, hunt wildlife, fish, and gather resources.
Craft and collect equipment, including weapons and armor with different item rarities, as you progress through the world. Upgrade vessels and find larger ships to decorate as homes at sea; you can play alone or with friends.
