Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands is the next chapter in the fan-favorite Sands of Time universe. Visiting his brother's kingdom following his adventure in Azad, the Prince finds the royal palace under siege from a mighty army bent on its destruction.

The Prince arrives at his brother Malik’s kingdom as its palace comes under siege. As the kingdom faces a growing threat, he must make his way through its vast halls and surrounding ruins.
Traverse the palace with wall-runs, jumps, climbs, and acrobatic moves, solving environmental puzzles and navigating traps. The Prince can freeze flowing water to use it as a handhold and temporarily restore damaged parts of the architecture to open routes.
Fight groups of enemies with sword attacks and special abilities, while using sand powers to rewind time after mistakes. Defeating enemies and finding hidden sarcophagi support progression through upgrades to health, time resources, and combat abilities.
Players who enjoy the game most often praise its fluid, platforming-focused traversal and the way freezing water and other powers add new challenges to routes and puzzles. Palace environments and the short, direct adventure also earn positive mentions. Common criticisms include repetitive, simplified combat, a story many find unremarkable, and technical or launcher problems reported by some players.
