Race for Cheese
Build as Shaman
Escape the Shaman
Transformice is an MMO platformer about dozens of mice running to bring back the cheese! Will the almighty Shaman help you or just ruin everything? Millions of levels, hectic physics, skill trees, and more importantly... hats!
Developed by Atelier 801 · Published by Atelier 801

You play as a mouse trying to reach the cheese and carry it back to your hole before the round ends. Other mice are racing for the same goal, while hazards and physics-driven obstacles can derail the trip.
Each round, one player becomes the Shaman and can place objects to help the mice reach the cheese—or make their route harder. Saving mice earns Shaman skill-tree progress, letting the Shaman develop new ways to build.
The game offers multiple modes and a large collection of official and player-made maps, with a level editor and tools for creating custom experiences. Cheese earned in play unlocks content, including cosmetic items for your mouse.
Many reviewers enjoy the straightforward cheese-running rounds and the unpredictable physics, which can turn each map into a chaotic, funny scramble. A recurring theme is nostalgia: players fondly recall returning to the game and making lasting friends through its social play. Reviewers also appreciate the range of maps and modes, while some say the community feels smaller or less welcoming than they remember.
