You play Qi Yi, a mystery writer who wakes with unclear memories and is drawn into a series of murder investigations. Familiar people appear in different roles across changing scenarios, while the cases feed into the mystery of his identity.
Explore locations for clues, solve search and puzzle sequences, connect evidence, then present it and challenge suspects during interrogations and trials. Choices can change how events unfold and which ending you reach.
Between investigations, talk with female characters and give gifts to build relationships. The game also includes character attributes, in-game currency, and skill progression, alongside branching routes and multiple endings.
