Command a team of comic-book heroes in cooperative battles against a villain controlled by its own deck. Each fight also takes place in an environment with a deck of effects that can threaten or alter the battle.
On a turn, play a card, use a hero power, and draw a card. Heroes have distinct decks and abilities, while villain and environment effects create changing challenges. Choosing which heroes, villain, and environment to combine is a key part of preparing for a fight.
Play solo by controlling three to five heroes, or play with others through pass-and-play or online multiplayer. Storyline challenges unlock variant cards, and additional decks are available through expansions and fan-created content.
