Choose a civilization, from a small tribe to a large empire, and guide it through campaigns set across human history. Pursue world conquest or use diplomacy to build influence and reshape the course of events.
Manage provinces, develop the economy, recruit and move armies, and fight turn-based wars. Diplomacy includes alliances, vassal relations, peace deals, and interventions; revolutions and civil wars can also alter a campaign.
Invest, build, or assimilate across provinces with mass actions, and use tools such as population relocation and wartime capitulation. Create scenarios, civilizations, flags, and maps with the built-in editors, or add community content through Steam Workshop.
