Play as a dungeon defender facing waves of adventurers. Set traps across 2D levels and use walls, chasms, and pathways to steer intruders into danger.
Choose and configure traps for each level, combining their effects to handle different enemies. Between dungeons, place terrain tiles on a realm map to create bonuses for your stages.
Victories grant experience and resources to strengthen traps and unlock abilities. Sigils, trap charms, and runes add further customization, while handcrafted levels are joined by procedural challenges, endless waves, and a roguelite mode.
Players who enjoy the game often praise its trap-based tower defense, satisfying combinations, and the ability to adapt trap builds to different levels. Some also like adjusting the challenge and trying additional modes. Other reviews criticize the realm tile system as cumbersome, describe the campaign and progression as limited compared with earlier entries, or report frustrating difficulty and trap-balance problems.
Dungeon Warfare 3 is the next evolution of the acclaimed tower defense series. Lay out terrain tiles, carve perilous pathways, and customize your domain to create a perfectly tuned gauntlet of mayhem and misery.
Your arsenal of traps and contraptions is deadlier than ever, featuring more methods of maiming, mangling, and misdirecting your foes. Every successful defense grants you valuable experience to permanently strengthen your tools of torment. Experiment with newfound synergy between traps and terrain, adapt on the fly to relentless waves of adventurers, and tailor the difficulty to your liking with a refined rune system.
With an expanded variety of enemies, handcrafted levels, and infinite procedural challenges, Dungeon Warfare 3 promises an endlessly replayable tower defense experience that rewards cunning, creativity, and cruelty in equal measure.
