In Particula, you defend a mind from waves of negative thoughts, depicted as strange enemies moving through space along paths toward the area you must protect.
Place and upgrade defensive towers to stop incoming enemies. Waves bring changing threats, including bosses, and each level is a compact tower-defense challenge.
Play alone or team up with as many as two other players. A calm soundtrack and smooth visual style frame the defense gameplay.
Some sampled players enjoy Particula as an unusual, low-pressure tower defense game, especially for its surreal theme of fighting negative thoughts and its relaxed feel while listening to music or chatting. Others appreciate playing cooperatively. Critical reviews often describe the gameplay as boring or repetitive, and mention limited content or strategy; these views are not shared by every reviewer.
