You play a card shark in the Tavern at the End of the World, facing opponents in a shedding-style card game inspired by games such as 斗地主. The goal is to empty your hand first: play a hand that matches the type on the table at a higher value, or pass until play returns to you.
Choose a character with a signature ability, then combine skills, spell effects, card enchantments, and demon chips to change how cards work and shape a strategy. Some effects can burn cards away, strengthen hands, or create powerful bomb plays.
Between matches, collect rewards and currency to add, remove, or transform cards, buy chips, and upgrade skills. Solo play centers on climbing ranked runs against opponent decks; separate online matches support two or three players.
Positive reviews often enjoy the unusual blend of shedding-card rules and roguelike deckbuilding, especially experimenting with character-specific abilities and chip combinations to create dramatic, powerful turns. Some also praise how quickly the basic rules click and the option to play with friends. These reactions are not universal: other reviewers find builds overpowering or repetitive and report technical, balance, or translation problems.
This is a game that will completely overturn your expectations.
Built on the classic poker objective of “getting rid of all your cards,” Apokerlypse blends in deep deckbuilding roguelike mechanics, making every run a chance to unleash outrageous chain reactions that will leave you stunned.
Even if you know absolutely nothing about poker, you can jump in almost instantly with zero barriers to entry.
And in Apokerlypse, playing fair and playing safe is rarely the smart move… because here, there is—
