EVE is a soldier sent from an off-world Colony to reclaim Earth, now overrun by the Naytiba. As she pursues her mission through the remains of human civilization, she uncovers clues that complicate what she was sent to do.
Combat combines light and heavy attacks with combos, timed parries, dodges, counters, and unlockable special moves. EVE faces groups of enemies and major bosses, while upgrades and equipment let players develop her abilities and adjust her combat strengths.
The journey mixes linear stages with larger areas to explore, where players can take on side quests, find collectibles and costume designs, and use camps to rest. Exploration and combat feed into character upgrades, and the story can reach different endings.
Players who enjoyed the game often highlight the timing-based combat and boss fights, describing them as satisfying once the parries and dodges click. The soundtrack, visual presentation, and range of EVE's costumes also recur as draws. Some reviewers were additionally won over by the story, while others found its plot or characters less compelling.
