Shift Happens is a cooperative platformer for two. You and a friend shift your mass, throw each other and puzzle your way through four stages of stylized imaginary worlds. Including the occasional backstabbing and taunting. Play with a friend on a couch, online or even special singleplayer levels.

Shift Happens follows the jelly-like creatures Bismo and Plom, who can exchange their size and abilities, through four different worlds. In co-op, two players work together to cross obstacles and solve puzzles, with room for playful sabotage along the way.
The central mechanic shifts mass between the characters: one grows as the other shrinks. Their size affects how they move and interact with the environment, so players must decide when to carry or launch a partner, reach high places, or pass through narrow gaps.
The game offers local and online co-op, plus separate single-player levels where one person switches between both characters. Levels also include coins, hidden collectibles, completion challenges, timed trials, and unlockable bonus stages.
In the supplied reviews, players often enjoy solving puzzles together with the size-swapping mechanic and coordinating throws and jumps. The chance to compete over coins or sabotage a partner adds comic chaos for some, while others praise the variety of levels and bonus challenges. Many reviews also report online lag, desynchronization, or bugs that can block progress; opinions on difficulty and the solo mode vary.
