METAL SLUG 2

In this 2D side-scrolling run-and-gun, choose one of four soldiers and battle through six missions to thwart General Morden’s rebel forces and his coup.

Run, jump, shoot, throw grenades, and dodge incoming fire while facing varied enemies and bosses. Pick up weapons and use vehicles including tanks, aircraft, and armed camels; food can also trigger temporary transformations that change your character’s abilities.

Arcade Mode presents the full campaign, while Mission Mode lets you replay stages you have unlocked, alone or with a partner. The game also includes control, language, display, and sound settings, plus score leaderboards.

In the supplied reviews, players often enjoy the fast, chaotic arcade shooting and the variety of enemies, weapons, vehicles, and stages. Detailed pixel art and expressive animation are recurring highlights, while some players also value playing cooperatively and praise the soundtrack. Nostalgia for the arcade original is another common source of enjoyment.
