In 1992, newly appointed FBI agent Anne Tarver travels with her partner, veteran investigator Maria Halperin, to Kingdom, Virginia, to investigate a boy’s disappearance. The case unfolds in a small community where hidden agendas and competing interests complicate their work.
Move through first-person scenes, observe people and places, and interact with selected objects to advance the story. The game tells its mystery without spoken dialogue, relying on visuals, character gestures, and music.
Film-like cuts jump between locations and moments, blending the investigation with surreal imagery. Optional collectibles can be found along the way, while the brief, linear progression leaves much of the story open to interpretation.
Players who enjoy the game often praise its orchestral soundtrack, dreamlike atmosphere, and distinctive cinematic presentation. Some appreciate how its wordless scenes invite close observation and interpretation, while others find the fragmented story confusing and the interaction too limited.
