Laugh Track

From the Devs

Welcome To Your New Job

You're now the lead writer for Juno's World, a perfectly normal sitcom in which nothing strange or horrible happens, ever!

We're so happy you've chosen permanent employment. Management has infinite faith in your ability to steer our production team towards our mysterious and important endgame. You'll be guiding four teenagers -- Juno, Cat, Daniel, and Remy -- through the trials and travails of high school life.

Using our patented "Ratings(tm)" system, you'll make decisions that keep them entertainingly unhappy! But not too unhappy, or they'll break. But also not too relaxed, or they'll fight back. We can't have that, no! How will we ever reach syndication if the entire project collapses?

Game Features

• A visual novel from the creators of Arcade Spirits, Penny Larceny, and The Shadow Over Cyberspace!

• Four human teens with Teen Problems! And one hamster. Can you help them find their way?

• Eight episodes of wacky shenanigans and soul-crushing real-world drama! You choose the episode order, you choose who to focus on!

• Relationships, romances, and ratings -- all leading to the ending you desire! Will you fight back against Management, or comply with the job?

• Classical cartoony visuals and music, to tickle your nostalgia bones!

• Full text-to-speech support for disability access, using NVDA if available! Just tap the V key to activate before you start a new game.

• The promise of utter annihilation if you fail in your task! Doesn't that sound like fun?

I Would Like To Decline This Opportunity Please

You don't want to be part of an eternal cosmic hive mind, yoked to your typewriter, forced to tune sitcom scripts until your continued existence is determined to be redundant and your soul gets re-absorbed into Management?

You want out...?

There is no out. There is only in.

Welcome to Laugh Track.
