Vigil is a short Narrative Horror Game that takes place in an unsettling underground facility. Your job is to dispose of boxes, however, you’re not alone. A terrifying automaton roams the facility, moving only when you look away or when you blink in real life.

You play as an employee on a disposal shift in the underground halls of Vigil Incorporated, carrying boxes to an incinerator. The routine job turns into a survival-horror encounter when a dangerous automaton appears.
The automaton advances when you blink or take your eyes off it, so keeping it in view becomes central to navigating the facility and staying alive. With a webcam, the game detects your real blinks; a keyboard-based alternative is also available.
Move through the facility as the short narrative unfolds, handling the disposal job and encountering the automaton in its halls. Environmental details and scattered notes offer glimpses of the place’s secrets.
Players often enjoy the webcam blink mechanic for making encounters with the automaton feel unusually personal and tense, and praise the creepy atmosphere and creature design. Many describe it as an effective short horror experience, while also wishing it were longer. Some report that webcam tracking or setup can be unreliable.
