Eon Altar is an episodic sword-and-sorcery RPG set in the dungeons and tunnels beneath Tarnum Fortress. One to four players—or a solo player—take on the role of heroes facing a growing threat.
Each player uses a smartphone as their character’s controller and interface, receiving private thoughts and context-sensitive options. Speak your hero’s lines, choose what to reveal or keep secret, and cooperate with or deceive your companions.
Explore dungeons, take on quests and challenges, manage and upgrade your character, and fight enemies in tactical, turn-based combat using magic and martial abilities. Choices help shape your hero’s path across nine episodes.
The selected reviews mostly focus on the required phone controller app being unavailable or unsupported, which players say prevents them from playing. A few who experienced the game describe it as fun or praise its concept, while one review criticizes the phone-based controls as awkward and distracting.
