In Time Clickers, you shoot waves of cubes with a Click Pistol, earning gold as you destroy targets. Aiming at individual cubes gives the clicker format a direct shooting element.
Spend gold to improve your weapons and hire sharpshooters who deal automatic damage. You can keep firing and use abilities yourself, or leave the team to do more of the work.
Advance through waves to unlock further progression systems: Time Cubes appear at wave 100 and can be spent on Artifacts. The team also earns gold while you are offline, so you can return to buy upgrades and push through more waves.
Players who enjoy Time Clickers often point to the satisfying loop of aiming and shooting cubes, buying upgrades, and watching damage and progress grow. Several also like that the game can run in the background and make progress while they are away. Other reviews describe the later game as repetitive, slow, or grind-heavy, so the appeal of its incremental loop varies.
