蜉蝣之国的囚徒

Fourteen people from around the world are taken to the isolated Ephemera Manor and forced to take part in the ancient Feather-Burning Rite. You follow a student caught in the gathering as deaths and supernatural signs raise questions about why the group was brought there.

This is a story-focused visual novel. Read scenes and character backstories, explore locations, and examine clues as the ritual unfolds. Its suspense and horror draw on Chinese folklore and historical material, with occasional investigation and puzzle-like interactions.

Dialogue choices build route affinities and influence which ending you reach; much of the central story is shared across routes. You can also choose the protagonist’s gender and name.

Players who enjoy the game often praise its character art, individual backstory chapters, folklore atmosphere, and some of its twists. Reactions to the main story are divided: some find it absorbing, while others criticize its logic, character writing, and limited deduction. Voice performances also receive both praise and criticism.
